At Sterling, our mission is not just to provide social care and support services, but providing support for individuals in the comfort of their homes. Our services enable individuals to remain in their own homes and remain independent for as long as possible at home and in the local community.
Sterling aims to promote independence and support individuals in terms of their own recovery, supporting people to remain in their own homes and helping to improve the quality of life of the individuals, their family members, and carers.
Our aim is to provide a supportive and caring environment where each individuals’ unique support needs are identified and met.
We aim to encourage and support people to access and use local facilities and amenities, preventing loneliness and isolation.
Sterling aims to provide support that empowers individuals, improving their confidence and self-esteem. Helping individuals to maintain life skills for as long as possible within the care/support package.
Our aim is to provide care and support services in a way that develops and nurtures trust with individuals, while working together to achieve these goals.
About Our Carers
Our staff are checked for criminal records to ensure they are certified safe to work with vulnerable individuals. All staff are recruited using a robust selection process. We only employ the best people for the role, checking they are competent and their employment history and checking they have up to date references.
We know the service we provide depends on the quality of our staff. To ensure our services are in line with our aims and objectives, all staff are trained to the required standards i.e. they have a minimum of level two diploma in Health and Social Care or are working towards achieving or willing to be trained to have this minimum qualification.
All staff receive full induction on employment. All carers are trained to give person-centered care. To ensure safe practice and improvement, our carers receive yearly updates of training like moving and handling, medication administration, food hygiene, infection control to ensure they remain aware of current legislations.
